Data Engineer

I’m currently recruiting for a Data Engineer role based in Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract role, focusing on hybrid working. Strong day rate available.

About the Role

• Join a growing data team delivering scalable data pipelines and modern lakehouse solutions on Azure.
• Build high-quality data products using Databricks, PySpark, SQL and dbt to support analytics, AI and reporting.
• Lead engineering best practices, mentor developers and contribute to the migration of a large enterprise data platform.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Data Engineering with strong Databricks, PySpark and SQL expertise.
• Experience designing Azure-based data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data models.
• Strong knowledge of dbt, CI/CD, version control and data quality/performance optimisation.

Desirable

• Experience migrating legacy data platforms to modern cloud-based architectures.
• Exposure to lakehouse architecture, data governance and enterprise-scale analytics environments.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
